Pink & Cream WOC Challenge card

With friends having Easter birthdays I figured I might use the challenge to create a duplex card to cover both occasions, and this one turned out quite well.  Didn’t go overboard on the flowers for a change and while initially I wasn’t sure about the pink & cream concept, now it’s finished I really like it.
Card is, as usual, an easel card and for a change I didn’t mat the background papers instead just putting them straight onto the base card.  The top paper is from a wonderful old HOTP book “More Ephemera Background Papers” which sadly is now only available on rare occasions through Ebay sellers, while the lower background is a digital one from some unknown online source.
I then layered a pink border peel off & a border punched line underneath the main image which is off a CD of Christian images.  This time I just left the image flat rather than pyramaging or tunnelling it purely for speed.   The pink & cream roses as ever are from Wild Orchid Crafts and I used a beautiful pink & cream adhesive gem cluster to finish off.   The Birthday sentiment is from a CraftsUPrint sheet.

The inside and the box are both decorated as always to complement the outside and should make for a different and enjoyable keepsake.

This card's being entered into the WOC Pink & Cream Challenge for this month. :)

Enjoy.
